Basic Handlers Workshop - March 12-13, 2026

March 12-13, 2026, 8am - 4:30pm. 

Location: Wildrose Training Facility, Oxford, Mississippi

This workshop will cover the Wildrose method of handling gundogs—obedience to hand signals. Emphasis is on developing the handler’s skills. Focus topics: delivery, whistle commands, steadiness, handling, hunting cover, and lining, all based on Wildrose training principles—no electronics. Handlers are encouraged to bring their dogs and classes will be split into small groups to facilitate individual attention. If your dog is not old enough for this training, we will provide a dog.

Cost: $500
Includes lunch for the participants on the ground both days. Please add any necessary medical dietary restrictions in the note section of checkout (ie: allergies, intolerances, ect.)

In the notes section of checkout, please provide us with the following information if it differs from your billing information: name (this will be on your name tag), phone number, and email (this will be used to send out more detailed information closer to the event date). Please make sure you are subscribed/do not unsubscribe from Wildrose prior to the event. We need your email permission to be able to send out pertinent information prior to the event. 

Also, please notify us if you are anticipating bringing any extra guests (for meal purposes). Guests can be added at Basic and Advanced Handlers Workshop Guests Meals. You can add multiple if you need to add more than one person as a guest for meals. You may also notify us by email or phone call if you are adding a plus one after signing up for the event, but you MUST notify us no later than March 5, 2026 (one week prior to the Basic Workshop) of any additional guests. This is a hard deadline to ensure that we have enough meals for participants and their guests. We cannot guarantee meals for guests requested after this date. 

If you are unable to attend, the payment can be transferred as store credit, but must be before 30 days prior to event.
