Inspired by the coats of Wildrose's distinctive Fox Red Labrador Retrievers, these special edition Blakeley Jackets are as unique as their namesake. The women’s Blakeley Jacket marries style and functionality, combining a feminine silhouette with all the technical features of the proven men’s outerwear. The women’s Blakeley has a durable, weatherproof 6oz waxed cotton shell that develops a rich patina over time. Set-in sleeves provide flattering structure through the shoulders, and the gently tapered waist can be further cinched using the interior drawcord. Gusseted underarms and a bi-swing back allow a full range of motion without adding bulk. Made in the United Kingdom.
A cotton liner inspired by Alabama red clay adds a touch of color to the interior, and a collar lined with Bedford corduroy provides welcome protection from the cold. Two chest hand warmer pockets are useful on brisk days, while large front bellow pockets provide ample storage and conceal two additional lower hand warmer pockets. An interior zipper pocket stores cellphones and other valuables.
Your garment's thin waxed coating resists liquids and makes it relatively easy to clean. Waxed cotton should not be machine washed or dry cleaned and should be kept away from hot water and harsh detergents that will remove the wax coating. When spots occur, use a damp rag or soft bristle brush to gently buff out the stained area. If spots are particularly stubborn, use a castile soap and rinse with lukewarm water. Re-wax the area with our reproofing wax and hang to air dry in a warm place.
Generally, rinse dirt and debris by hand with cold water and air dry. Do not iron. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not machine wash. Do not use artificial heat to dry, expose to open flames, or hang on radiators.
