Date of the event is October 17th-19th, 2025 on property at Wildrose Kennels in Oxford, Mississippi. Event will begin Friday in the early afternoon and will end after lunch on Sunday.
Combining wingshooting with training, this is a great course and competition to evaluate gundog skill levels and tune up before season or a competition. Three days of wingshooting scenarios with live bird flights combined with training clinics. Double guns (over-under or double barrel) 20-gauge and below are used to provide a traditional sporting flair. Recommend brining 6 boxes of 6.5 or 7 size shot shells. Transitional exercises with live birds will include flights over water, flooded timber, field shoots and walk ups.
Open to all breeds, this is a great advanced course to identify weaknesses in practical field situations, learn new training techniques, hone hunting skills, prepare for the excitement of a competition or a real wingshoot and it's the perfect pre-season tune up for hunters and their dogs. A great progression following our basic and advanced training course.
The following meals will be provided for all participants:
- Friday Evening - Happy hour with heavy hors d'oeuvres
- Saturday - Lunch and Dinner
- Sunday - Lunch
Also, please notify us if you are anticipating bringing any extra guests. This can be done on the separate page Double Gun 2025 Guest Meals. You can add multiple to your cart if you need to add more than one person as a guest for meals. Guests can be added at the time of sign up or after, but we ask that you please notify us of any guests planning on attending during meals no later than October 10, 2025 (one week prior to the event) to allow us time to update our head count for meals with our catering companies. If guests are attending, but not joining for meals, please note their name(s) in the “note” section of the checkout page.
Please add any necessary medical dietary restrictions for participants or guests in the “note” section of checkout (ie: allergies, intolerances, ect.)
In the “note” section of checkout, please provide us with the following information if it differs from your billing information: name (this will be on your name tag), phone number, and email (this will be used to send out more detailed information closer to the event date). Please make sure you are subscribed/do not unsubscribe from Wildrose emails prior to the event. We need your email permission to be able to send out pertinent information prior to the event. Event details will be sent out approximately 30 days prior to the event, as well as the week before, with all event details.
Cost of event is $750. If you are unable to attend, the payment can be transferred as store credit, but must be requested no later than thirty (30) days prior to event. Please notify us ASAP if you are unable to attend.
